Our Story
Established in 2012, Tayseer Foundation emerged from a deep recognition of the growing need in the American Muslim community for relevant scholarship and educational opportunities. What began as a local initiative in Knoxville has grown into a comprehensive seminary program serving students from across the country.
Our name, “Tayseer,” means to facilitate or make easy, reflecting our commitment to making traditional Islamic knowledge accessible and relevant to contemporary Muslims. We believe that authentic Islamic learning should be both rigorous and applicable, transformative and practical.
Our Mission
Tayseer Seminary aims to educate a new generation of Muslim leaders who will guide our communities into the future. We combine the spiritual depth and intellectual rigor of the Islamic tradition with a critical ethos that insists on contemporary relevance.
Through rigorous education, spiritual immersion, and transformative practice, we enable students to embark on a life-long journey of learning, self-discovery, and service to the ummah of the Prophet ﷺ.
